Vanita is a wonderful Iyengar Yoga teacher. She is highly perceptive to the needs of her students and constructs classes that are engaging and hugely enjoyable.
I like the mixture of rigour, compassion and understanding of individual members of your class. I also like the variety which incorporates inner sense and progression.
Thanks Vanita for being such a brilliant teacher, in person and via Zoom. You encourage and challenge us and bring new insights to our yoga practice. I enjoy your classes and feel the benefit after, in mind and body.
Vanita has been my yoga instructor for over a year - throughout lockdown and in a zoom environment which must be really challenging for any instructor.
She is enthusiastic, thorough and full of fun - her classes reflect this approach. She finds ways to enable everyone at all levels to fully participate and her patience knows no bounds - especially when enabling students to take on and succeed in achieving the more challenging asanas - I know this from personal experience.

The yoga practices are a great mix of strength, flow, breathing and relaxation.
Vanita helps students to learn, correct and improve techniques whilst her calm and cheerful personality bring a positive energy to the classes and she is fun to work with.
After 18 months in Vanita‘s class, I have noticed a big improvement in my flexibility and strength. This helps me in everyday tasks around the house and garden. Vanita‘s approachable style has helped me regain much of the flexibility I had in my youth. Vanita attends the international Iyengar conventions and brings the knowledge she gains back to the classes. The gentle pace of Vanita’s classes have allowed me to progress with confidence. After a few of Vanita’s classes, I noticed that I no longer suffered neck and shoulder pain. The gentle bending and stretching in Vanita’s classes have given me much better posture and I appear to be taller. Vanita’s bending and twisting classes have made it much easier for me to negotiate junctions in the car. Vanita’s advice on how to lie comfortably and open my chest have enabled me to get a much more restful night’s sleep. Vanita is very conscientious and if anyone has a physical difficulty she suggests alternative poses.
